COVINGTON FARMERS MARKET

This farmer's market brings together many small local producers. It is especially the occasion to fly over the culinary wealth of Louisiana as well as the creativity of its craftsmen: macaroons, gingerbread, chili and bacon jams or bourbon jams (and so many others), fresh goat cheese, old vegetables, cookies, honeys. Sometimes, a band invites itself and plays on the plaza. Local chefs often come here to shop. Note that the Wednesday market takes place elsewhere, at the Covington Trailhead (419 North New Hampshire Street).
