My fiance and I went for a day trip.. The home and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and full of history! It was my fiance's first time going to a Plantation home and he is hooked he is already talking about the next one we can go to!

We took the guided tour. The tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable about the mansion and the family. Well worth the drive. A beautiful mansion.

I went on the tour given by Hunter and it’s been one of the highlights for me while visiting Louisiana. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about history , I honestly didn’t want the tour to end! I saw some of the rooms and they were beautiful and well priced, might stay if I get a chance on my next visit.

No one should profit from a plantation that was built and maintained by slaves.

I was shocked to find out that a 6 year old and a 10 year old , and a 60 something have to pay FULL adult price. No senior tickets. No student tickets. My daughter paid $82 for herself and a 6 & 10 year old. To wait for the tour to begin we were forced to wait with the kids in a small outside area. We drove an hour and a half to get here were not even allowed to walk around the grounds on the nice side walks. The front desk person said we had to wait in this little area next to the gift shop like we can’t be trusted. The tour guide was excellent but at this point I’m just disgusted and over charged. I didn’t feel welcomed to your beautiful property and the entire experience was lost in the first few minutes that I was here. It’s all about the money I suppose. There are plenty of other places I would recommend checking into instead of this place

We did not stay at Nottaway, but we did get to see the cottages and guest rooms. They were beautiful. Newly renovated and so comfortable. We went for the tour of the house and it was one of the best tours we've been on. Our guide was so knowledgeable and very entertaining. I would highly recommend visiting the plantation.

Great tour guide. Beautiful old home with beautiful views of the river. Interesting history & our tour guide was very knowledgeable having had his family work there for years.

Beautiful resort and great tour! We took our cruise along the Mississippi River and this was our first stop. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. Was nice to see that one could stay in the mansion or the grounds overnight. Great tour!

The house is one of the more interesting homes we toured. There is zero information about the plantation on the tour, so you just hear about the house and residents. They do not let you explore any of the property on your own (it’s an active hotel, so can understand), but it would have been nice to see more of the property. I don’t think we’d been happy staying in the hotel itself as the beds looked like full size, which could be hard for 2 people. The rooms did look nice from he ones we toured though.

How is it possible to be proud of the history of this place and others like it? You people are weird. Like someone before me said, all they did was paint over the blood and pain.

This plantation house is huge. So cool to see inside. The tour was great too. We got lots of good photos. There is a pretty good size gift shop too where you can buy some nice souvenirs. Would recommend this plantation.
