HAMPTON INN BATON ROUGE - I-10 & COLLEGE DR. ^{* *}

20240331 Stayed 4 nights here, and didn't realized it is in the city. Getting in and out can be challenging... lots of traffic at the light during the week. I was concerned when I pulled up to the hotel on check in day. There was a young woman hanging outside and then joined by a man. They didn't give me the feeling that they were guests. At check in, the first thing I asked was if this hotel is safe. Wes knew what I was referring to. He's aware of the hotel's surroundings. He said yes and reassured me that it's safe and mentioned the constant police patrolling. He commented that if they don't leave soon, he will call the police. That night, I took my dogs out. As I was walking out, I told Wes that if I don't come back in 5 mins, call the cops and have them come look for me. He said he would come look for me. I feel better and safer after the first day. The hotel room is much smaller than standard Hampton Inn. Look for back roads if you can to avoid the traffic at the light. I would stay here again.

Nice suite with a balcony. Clean and safe. Good rest after 8 days on the road.

Fridge was caked with ice, I called and it was immediately switched out with one from another room. (Great service) BUT the one they brought was also called with ice on the back wall and not cooling. (Eh service) i ended up chipping of the ice and defrosting it myself. Hopefully this will work. We will see, I'm there for 2 more days!

I recently visited this Hampton Inn while taking my son to visit LSU. The hotel itself is older, however they do a great job of keeping it clean. When I arrived I was greeted by the staff and quickly checked in. That was greatly appreciated after a 7.5 hour drive. The rooms were well stocked with the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the hotel is very close to many restaurants and stores. I found the hotel to be very close to LSU so if you’re in town to visit LSU it’s a great location. The breakfast was equipped with many warm and cold food options. The breakfast staff was very kind and accommodating. I did use the gym during my stay. It’s a bit on the smaller side, but it’ll do to get in a quick workout before starting your day. Overall, I enjoyed my time at this hotel and would stay again.
