The location is great and offers easy access to anywhere in the city. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, and the lobby and bar are pleasant.

This property just needs an investment in updating rooms and would be a really nice mid-tier hotel in the area.

The furniture is old and worn, TVs many generations behind, no mobile key access etc, and that applies to suites as well. Hopefully an overdue room upgrade/refit will happen in the near future.

The conference meals were great. The front desk was helpful when we needed the help.

For the price ... I think you get more at a Comfort Inn or Holiday Express ....
Here - you need to ask for a microwave.
There is no Continental Breakfast.
The only Pool is located outside.
They have absolutely no pamphlets in the room to tell you additional costs or room side services or surrounding stores or restaurants.
However there was one bottle of water sitting with the ice bucket which we found had we drank it they would have charged our room and incidental rate of up to $8 for one bottle of water ????????‍♀️

Upon entrance they stayed at the 3 different stations interacting with one another. Little to no greeting as you approach the counter.
We pre-registered 2 months ago. Our check-in was to be at 3:00 p.m. but, we had to sit in the lobby until 3:30 because our room wasn't ready.

I'm not impressed .... Higher price and a lot less options & service.

This was one of the better hotels I've been to. The staff were very polite and helpful. I am shouting out to Jake the server who was so helpful to me. Thank you! I hope to visit again.

The Renaissance Baton Rouge is a very comfortable home away from home. A five-star hotel? No. But it doesn’t need to be. Spending more and more time in Baton Rouge, the Renaissance feels a bit like getting home and putting on lounge pants and slippers. The carpet in the hallways may be a little faded, but the staff are warm, hospitable, and genuine. The rooms are well cared for. And the longevity of tenure among the staff - who are so welcoming without fail - tells me everything I need to know about my interests in returning here myself. Yes, please!

For this hotel being a premium bonvoy hotel, they are real chincy on their wine. The standard pour of wine is 6 ounces, this hotel gives you a 4 oz. pour and charges you for a 6 oz. pour. I have never been to a bonvoy hotel that gives you a 4 oz. pour. That is highway robbery. I stay at this hotela lot and was surprised when this time they gave me a 4oz. pour. I love a couple of glasses of wine with my dinner, but since they resorted to a 4 oz. pour, I will go to nearby restaurants where they treat customers right and give a 6 oz. pour.

For almost four years, I have made this Renaissance my home while my child matriculates at a university in the Bayou! Every single time, they do not disappoint! Ms. Sharon is my go-to person in the back of the house who willfully without fail offers any help she possibly can, along with several other guest services personnel. The housekeeping is on-point and very friendly, although I rarely need anything. The location is perfect and procides everything a traveler could need to stay in or venture out. Our time will soon decrease, but when we come back to visit, I know they will be there with the open arms I have come to crave when traveling.

Great place to stay if you are looking for accommodations in the area. It is close to restaurants, shopping and major roads. Very nicely appointed hotel. Ample parking. On site restaurant. Space for special events. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice rooms with all the conveniences. Would not hesitate to stay here next time I am in Baton Rouge.

I enjoyed my trip here. I was in town for one night, I wished it was longer! Highly recommend! My room was ready at check in, very clean and quiet for the most part. Only down fall was the housekeepers. I wanted to sleep in a little and they were pretty loud in the hall

It was a nice room and perfect location. Rooms were nice but noticed wallpaper flaking and damage. Breakfast was cold and for Louisiana, that is disappointing.
