Cultural center to make a stopover that is a very good complement to visit Vermilionville.

A stop in this cultural center is highly recommended. It is a very good complement to a visit to Vermilionville. The rangers are very helpful and the film (35 minutes, in French) projected on a large screen which recounts the deportation of the Acadians to Louisiana is really captivating (nothing to do with the classic videos typical of museums). Also not to be missed is the presentation of the different characteristics of Cajun culture, such as Mardi Gras, the French language and the different types of music.

La projection reprenant la déportation des acadiens lors du grand dérangement est très instructive sur une période sombre quasiment jamais abordée ailleurs. A voir !
