Was excited to stay on the bayou but not what we expected. The bed was a very small double, my husband is 6’3 and did not fit, the night was not restful at all! We stayed in the Bayou Palace and the toilet was very low even for me and I’m short. Booked for 3 nights only stayed 1.
We stayed the weekend after Thanksgiving and this was a great place to relax. Nice rustic accommodations and quiet at night. Lisa made it easy to make the reservation. Already thinking about a trip back in the fall.
I was passing through and looking for a place that allows pets and stumbled upon Bayou Cabins. I wish I would have had more time to stay because it was just a freaking cool stay. Love the cabin layout, it was right before Christmas so the place was all lit up and playing music in the background, quietly of course. Did everything over the phone and they were super accommodating. Parked my truck and small trailer, sat around and played guitar until I fell asleep peacefully. If ever I'm passing through again I'm gonna stay a few days as a mini vacation. Too cool.
Best place we could have chosen for our wedding!!! From the atmosphere amd the stunning details of the cabins to the kind and attentive owners, we had the dream weekend for our special celebration ???? If I could add stars I would!!
This is a great place to relax and enjoy the elevated porches all the cabins have in the back that overlook the Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge. No refrigerator in the room, but ice is obtained at the convenience store next to the group of cabins. The cabin was clean, classic and comfortable, a d it is a short drive to restaurants. I would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay. We stayed in cabin #2 and it was clean. The property was well kept. The historic cabins are a step back in time with modern time mixed. We enjoyed sitting on deck watching squirrels play and a duck with babies in bayou . Perfect for our getaway. Mr Rusty & Ms Lisa are great host.
Way past its prime. I can hear the busy road through the walls all night. Cockroaches in cabin. Also, its bed and breakfast without the breakfast.
Not cleaned that well.
Quaint old Cajun cabins relocated to the west bank of Bayou Teche. No staff service. You have the cabin to yourself. More like camp cabins. For checkout simply put your cash payment in the envelope left in your room and drop it in the office mailbox. Very trustworthy. Peaceful atmosphere except for the busy highway. Convenience store next door but hidden by wild shrubbery. Some cabins have kitchens or kitchenettes. The cabins on the bayou have decks overlooking the bayou. On this trip we watched birds pestering a fat owl perched in a cypress tree around 15 feet from us. Then went to the Zydeco breakfast dance at Buck & Johnny's around a half mile away. Geno Delafose performing.
These two Arctic Chics LOVED our stay at Bayou Cabins! It was short but sweet, Lisa was a great host, all communications were friendly, fast, and made our stay even better.
Lovd the little two bedroom, and the screen porch was the perfect place to take in the evening sounds and enjoy morning coffee.
The yard and other cabins are just the sweetest setting, with the water mere steps away.
Our favorite place to get away for a night or a few days . The owners take good care of the guest . Been in quite a few of the cabins and been pleased with everything
