Every year, the Abbeville Brotherhood prepares its famous giant omelette made from 5,000 eggs. Notice to the gourmets!
The Abbeville Brotherhood organizes a festival with activities for the whole family, a vintage car show, Cajun music performances, an arts and crafts market, food booths, an official mass, an egg-cracking contest in tractor, etc. Chefs parade around on Sunday morning before arriving at the huge pan and the 5,000 eggs needed to make the omelet that will be shared among the guests and eaten at the end of the day.
