When I first walked in the door, I immediately liked how spacious and nice the room looked until i stepped into the bathroom and was greeted by a HUGE cockroach in the stained, dirty shower! We had been in the room for only 2 minutes! The staff was very nice, and offered another room; however, I respectfully declined and got a refund!
We went to another hotel, shared our experience, and the lady at the front desk IMMEDIATELY named the hotel without us even saying. BEWARE, we weren’t the first.
When we entered the room at 8. I received a text message asking how I liked the room which felt dated and for $160 I definitely would have expected nicer. There was hair on the carpet from a dog maybe and there was a k cup left in the coffee machine. I appreciated the text and they were responsive about the coffee machine being used but that wasn’t a priority for me.
I put my kids aged 4,2, 7 months in bed with their snacks and got cartoons going- we started noticing phone calls to the room phone. I never could get the phone to answer. Shortly after my mom arrived with pizza- my kids ate pizza while in bed. This is relevant as after I showered we had a knock on the door by a hotel staff giving a winded speech about sound complaints from the room below us. My mom stated that we were trying to get my kids asleep but what’s wild is that they weren’t doing anything. We had cartoons on and they were talking. My two year old was the only one out of bed at all during this time frame and he’s less than 30 pounds. So it must have been me walking around!! The floor was creaky and uneven so possible I suppose.
I write this at 3:30am as I’m listening to someone have sex in the building.
I hope they get a knock on their door. My kids talking warranted a policy conversation please know I don’t want to hear their activities either.
Not kid friendly. Not family oriented. Which I hate as I was looking at IHG for our next Disney venture but that’s not happening after this.
