This pleasant campground mainly hosts campers and mobile homes. Especially well equipped, it includes a swimming pool with a whirlpool, a laundry service, a well-kept sanitary area and free Wi-fi. Located in the heart of cajun country, this campsite allows for Rayonner (5 miles), Evangeline (20 miles) or Avery Island (40 miles).

Nice RV park with lovely owners! Very helpful and friendly. The weekend breakfast was delicious. Their working cat is super sweet.

Day Three of the 2024 Eclipse to Best Friends Animal Society to Las Vegas and all points in between Tour finds us ensconced (I just LOVE that word) at 25 Mystery Frog Lane in scenic Duson, LA.

Our level gravel slip has full hookups and a picnic table. Trees are perimeter only and there is enough grass to keep the pups happy. 2 bars on ATT, about 80 cable channels and a rather small, undernourished hamster smelling of Ben Gay is barely cranking out enough bandwidth to call it an internet connection.

Slips are close together and looks like lots of full timers here. It’s clean, well kept and has a huge fenced area for the pups. Noise from I-10 is negligible and the team here is friendly and welcoming. A bargain at $27 for the night with the Passport America discount and more than adequate for a one night stand. It’s a 7 out of 10 and half a hamster ????.

We travel about 20,000 miles a year for the eight months we’re on the road. Once in awhile, you run across a place that just clicks. I love stopping in the Lafayette area each year for the food and local drives, and to land in a spot that is this clean, well kept, as well as the absolute nicest people who run and work at the park is a bonus for us. Checked in on Saturday, and immediately were invited to a full-blown Easter dinner for the next day. Ham, smoked brisket among some area side dishes. Did I mention free? Will be back every time we go through the area.
