CANDLEWOOD SUITES NEW IBERIA

I'm writing this review to hopefully save someone else a headache while traveling. Before "management" comments some blanket statement about contacting them, we already did. When we brought our complaints to the front desk we were offered a comparable room in similar condition and told to reach out to management with our pictures and videos of the roaches crawling on the walls, which we did. Nobody ever contacted us. At this point, it's 11:00 at night and all the other hotels in the area were booked. We NEVER had hot water for a shower our entire visit. We even tried waiting until 2:00 am and at best it was like warm. The room was absolutely filthy. It appeared that prior to us, it was a long term rental that had not been cleaned properly before our check in. The trash in the bathroom wasn't even taken out and was completely full. I opened the cabinet to get a plate and there was a roach crawling on the dishes. My dogs kept trying to get to something under the bed. There was so much trash under both beds it was obvious they hadn't been checked in a long time. We removed trash, linens, vitamins, sunglasses, etc. There was trash left in the kitchen cabinets, empty food boxes, and even a whole bag of onion skins in the drawer. The lady at the front desk told us that they were down to one cleaning lady for the whole hotel and she was much older. However when we were checking out we saw that they in fact have a whole cleaning crew. The building is older and has that moist, mildewy feel to it and they do not offer any perks such as an adequate breakfast or a workout room. Technically they are there, but not operational. There were huge cones and tape blocking the gym. This all would have been doable but the lack of cleanliness and hot shower sealed the deal for me. I will be looking for a better option in that area for my future visits.

Well first Off When you walk in the building makes you feel like you're at home The front desk personnel has great personality can't ask for any better The cleaning crew is very awesome they know what they're doing great personality And the manager over here Is Awesome The whole building Smell so good and the people that are staying over here Or very nice I would recommend staying over here short or long term If I could give a 10 stars I would Great hospitality can't ask for no better

I had great experience at this hotel in New Iberia, until this weekend, the first room we were assigned to , did not have towels, did not have a shower curtain, floor dirty, no pillow covers on pillows, trash in the ac unit, freezer and ice box completely dirty.They did right and up grade me to a better room , which I was glad but did not have hot water at all . Friday and Saturday was a little warm and Sunday morning no hot water,we had to take cold showers before we left to get on the road.Very disappointed in this hotel that we always stayed in,

Dirty floor, broken exhaust in the bathroom and broken bed

Low Grade hotel rooms. You have to wear shoes from the shower to the bed or your feet will turn black from the dirty floors. AC works on and off. Room smells musky. Shower leaks alone with other plumbing down the hallway. Door knobs are hanging off the doors. Black hand and foot prints on the walls and doors. Only ice machine in the building don't work.
