HISTORIC CITY HALL ARTS & CULTURAL CENTER
Former city hall, hosting temporary exhibitions, highlighting local and international artists
The original building was destroyed in 1910, in the great fire that ravaged Lake Charles. The one you can visit today dates from 1911. Since 2004, this former city hall has hosted temporary exhibitions, highlighting local and international artists. On Saturdays from 8am to 12pm, behind the building on Bilbo Street, there is a farmers' market. Across the street from the cultural center is the Historic Calcasieu Courthouse, also renovated.
