Located in Bringhurst Park, the Alexandria Zoo is home to 500 animals of 160 species from around the world, including more than 30 vulnerable or endangered species. We go there especially for the Louisiana habitat: alligators, turtles and other snakes, although the African lions are also quite impressive. You can also take a little train (extra charge) which will amuse the children. A zoo like any other, but it becomes an interesting option when it is very hot, because the walk is almost always shaded.
