METRO BUS SYSTEM

Houston offers a convenient local bus system for getting around the city and surrounding areas. With more than 80 routes serving communities inside and outside the 610 loop, travelers have many options for getting to work, school, shopping or medical appointments. Transfers to other lines are available at many city intersections, as well as at METRO transit centers, which are sheltered waiting areas usually located at the beginning and/or end of a bus line. Vehicles are accessible to people with reduced mobility, and Wi-Fi is free on board. Several payment options are available, including the METRO Q® card, METRO Q mobile ticket, METRO day pass and cash.
