Open since 2006, this house has had no trouble introducing a little Catalan gastronomy to Texas' main city. With its small arcades, warm yellow walls and shelves topped with dozens of bottles of wine, you'd think you were there. It's even more so when you consult the menu. Catalan Food & Wine won't suit every budget, but if there's one very good table to choose during a stay in Houston, this could be it. The paprika-seasoned prime rib with gratin or the fish stew are very convincing. Other preparations too.
