Known as one of the most interesting achievements of religious art during the second half of the twentieth century, this chapel dedicated to all faiths, was opened to the public in 1971. Built under the direction of the Menil Foundation, its structure pays tribute to various European artists, including Henri Matisse and Le Corbusier. Inside, 14 monumental paintings by Mark Rothko are on display. Outside, don't miss the small pool in the middle of which a sculpture by Barnett Newman pays tribute to Martin Luther King through a broken obelisk.
