BYZANTINE FRESCO CHAPEL
Modern and absolutely sublime chapel housing temporary exhibitions featuring contemporary art installations.
This modern chapel housed the dome and apse of a 13th-century Cypriot Byzantine chapel. On loan from Cyprus for restoration, it was returned to its original location in 2012. The chapel was built by François de Menil in 1992, solely for the purpose of exhibiting these two pieces. The modern ensemble is absolutely sublime, with its different levels of interior light. Since 2012, the chapel has hosted temporary exhibitions featuring contemporary art installations.
