Naïve art, or art brut, has a strong presence in the American South, especially in Houston, with the Orange Show Museum. Some would even say that American art brut is the soul of the country. This zany monument offers an extraordinary experience, built by a letter carrier to honor oranges (yes, the fruit). In danger of being destroyed, the site was saved by a foundation that gave it a new lease on life. This 300 m² center features a permanent display of unusual exhibits. The wackiest artists are very welcome here.
