Houston monument with clock associated with an old bell, moved to Market Square
This is a monument created from scratch to enhance the clock designed over a century ago for City Hall, then moved to Market Square. Today, the clock is associated with an old bell that once belonged to Houston's3rd City Hall. Originally commissioned in 1904, the clock was stored in a warehouse in 1960, where it was forgotten, sold or stolen. Found in 1988 in an amusement park, it was returned to the City of Houston.
