A large park west of downtown that has become an 18-hole golf course for local athletes.
It's Houston's largest park and one of the largest urban green spaces in the United States. Located west of downtown on Memorial Drive, it covers 6 km². This former military training camp, where American troops were prepared for the First World War, then became, according to the wishes of local authorities, a place of remembrance for all the fallen.
