BRAZOS BEND STATE PARK
Texas State Park near Houston, home to 300 species of birds, 21 species of reptiles and 17 species of mammals
About 28 miles from Houston, taking Highway 59, then Crabb River Road, then FM 762 to the entrance. This Texas State Park is one of the most pleasant to visit near Houston. The Brazos River runs along it for almost 5 km. It is even nicer because it is possible to camp there. There are 300 species of birds, 21 species of reptiles and 17 species of mammals. The most impressive animal to be found here is probably the alligator. When fully grown, the smallest ones measure 3.50 m, while the largest ones can reach 6 m.
