DICKENS ON THE STRAND

The historic street of Galveston is set in the time of Queen Victoria, as seen by the great English writer Charles Dickens. Costumes, parades and a big party are on the program. Held on the first weekend of December, the festival has an excellent family program. Based on ^19th century Victorian London, the festival features parades, entertainment on four stages, new attractions such as Tiny Tim's Play Land, Shopkeeper Skills Village and roaming characters throughout the festival. The year 2023 marks its 50th anniversary!
