A district dedicated to the arts in the northern part of the city center, where most museums and sites are located.
A little like Houston, Corpus Christi has developed its own art district. It's located in the northern part of Downtown, where the sea forces the land to form a right angle, where Port Avenue and Chaparral Street meet. Here you'll find most of the museums and sites discussed in this section: the Asian Cultures Museum, the Museum of Science and History, Heritage Park, and the Art Museum of South Texas. The USS Lexington is nearby. Also nearby is the Texas Surf Museum, dedicated to surfing culture.
