Museum dedicated to Mexican art and the war between the United States and Mexico offering a pleasant visit to Padre Island.
Built in 1899, this historic Port Isabel building housed a grocery store in its early days, called The Champion Store. It also housed U.S. customs and the post office. After several lives, it is now a museum dedicated to Mexican art and the war between the United States and Mexico. The fresco covering the façade was painted in 1906 by a local fisherman. A pleasant visit if you're passing through Port Isabel.
