Less picturesque than Barton Springs, Deep Eddy is often the second choice of locals looking for a swim. Less crowded on weekends, Deep Eddy is another popular Austin watering hole, with two pools. Less dedicated to relaxation than to swimming, this pool is frequented by swimmers of different levels, although there are always young students coming to bubble in the sun. The second pool is more accessible to young children, with minimal depth. There are also picnic tables.
