OLD TUNNEL STATE PARK
Park that includes a half-mile path accessible during the day for walking and nature observation
The Old Tunnel State Park includes a half-mile trail accessible during the day for walking and nature observation. During the summer months, from May to October, millions of bats from Mexico take refuge in the tunnel at the end of the trail, waiting for the night to come out in swarms. We highly recommend going to see them, as they offer a very spectacular dance. Unfortunately, it is not possible to camp in this park. So it's imperative not to stay too late.
