Park that includes a half-mile path accessible during the day for walking and nature observation
Old Tunnel State Park includes a half-mile trail that is accessible during the day for walking and nature viewing. During the summer months, from May to October, millions of bats from all over Mexico take refuge in the tunnel at the end of the trail, waiting for the night to come out in swarms. It is highly recommended to go and see them, as they offer a very spectacular dance. Unfortunately, it is not possible to camp in this park. It is therefore imperative not to stay too late.
