This steakhouse is a local favorite. With its pretty year-round outdoor terrace overlooking the river, typically local decor and cheerful staff, the Lone Star Café can't be mistaken for any other restaurant on the River Walk. The menu is very extensive, with delicious barbecue sandwiches. One section of the menu is entitled "Taste of Texas", featuring Texas Ranger-style classics, marinated and grilled chicken breast, or pork chops from Luckenbach (the famous Hill Country town).
