This district/market is home to the Alameda Museum, several restaurants and a gigantic market spread across the street and adjacent buildings. Here, Mexican culture is on display in the form of more or less handcrafted products, sold by the hundreds: jewelry, pottery, paintings, sculptures, carpets, clothes... Ultra-touristy, of course, but worth seeing for the typical San Antonio folklore. Unfortunately, this historic market has lost some of its charm after being converted into a modern space.
