Residence of Edward Steves in the Second Empire style, built in 1876 in San Antonio.
A historic villa in the King William District, Edward Steves' residence was built in 1876. Having made his fortune in the timber trade, he commissioned his architect to design a villa in the Second Empire style. In the 1950s, the heirs donated the house to an association, which opened it to the public for guided tours. A window on the lives of migrants made rich at the end of the 19th century, or the American Dream of 150 years ago.
