MUSEUM OF WESTERN ART
Museum that connects Antonio to Fort Stockton to see works that relate to the Great West and especially to the Indians
The museum is just a few miles north of Route 10, which links San Antonio to Fort Stockton. Here you'll see works of art relating to the Far West, and in particular to the aboriginal peoples. Beautiful paintings illustrate the activities of both the first peoples and the pioneers. You'll see superb paintings of the bluebonnet fields of the Hill Country, sculptures of cowboys with lassoes, and special exhibits featuring works by a variety of local artists. The eras on display can be quite vast.
