The Meyerson Symphony Center is home to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1900. The center was designed by Chinese-born architect IM Pei, best known in France for his work on the Pyramide du Louvre in Paris. The center opened its doors in 1989 and has been hosting Texas' top classical music concerts ever since. What's more, ticket prices are really cheap compared with European prices. We highly recommend Igor Stravinsky's ballet Rite of Spring, or concerts by Beethoven and Brahms.
