AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM OF DALLAS
This museum brings together arts and crafts created by members of the African American community in the Southwestern United States
Relatively small in size but rich in information, this museum is well worth your time. Several floors divided into historical and cultural sections trace the history of slavery, the civil rights movement, sports and music in the African-American community. Allow an afternoon to see it all, but you won't be disappointed. For visits in February, during Black History Month, numerous cultural events are organized.
