PIONEER PLAZA
Pioneer Plaza pays tribute to the pioneers who came from the East to settle the Great West.
Pioneer Plaza is a large public park located in the Convention Center District of downtown Dallas. One of the most visited sites in Downtown Dallas, the park pays tribute to the pioneers who came from the East to conquer the Great West. It's certainly a controversial tribute, but the impressive bronze statues of longhorn cows are well worth seeing. It's apparently the most photographed installation in Dallas, and rightly so. The contrast between the sculptures and the surrounding urban landscape is very photogenic indeed.
