FORT WORTH WATER GARDENS
These water gardens, which cover almost 2 hectares in the heart of downtown, were designed by architect Philip Johnson.
This fountain, or to be more precise, these water gardens, stretch over almost 2 hectares in the heart of downtown. Designed by architect Philip Johnson, who also designed the Amon Carter Museum in the Cultural District and the JFK Memorial in Dallas, it's a succession of cascades, fountains and flowing waterfalls. It's easy enough to get there on foot: just walk along the steps, which blend into the giant fountain's jerky, geometric decor. The fountain is like a creek in the middle of the city.
