EAST TEXAS OIL MUSEUM
Go there and contact
This museum presents a reconstruction of a city of the 1930s, which arose following the discovery of an oil source.
On the Kilgore College campus, 11 miles southwest of Longview. One of the best oil-themed museums in Texas. It features a recreation of a 1930s town that sprang up following the discovery of an oil source. Many Texans found the idea of this museum so original that they sent old objects found in their attics to complete the collection.
It's like stepping 80 years back in time. The elementary school, the church, the shopping street, the little tea shop, the factory... it's all there.
