Oak Grove Cemetery houses the bodies of the four signers of the 1836 Texas Declaration of Independence
This cemetery is the final resting place for individuals representing every phase of the city's history: Spanish and Mexican settlement, the Republic Era, the Prewar State, the Civil War and Reconstruction, the Spanish-American War, World War I, the Great Depression and the New Deal, World War II and postwar growth. Four of the signers of the 1836 Texas Declaration of Independence are buried here, and you'll find the graves of veterans among others.
