806 is a bit like Amarillo's alternative place: you don't eat meat here, but rather oriental mezze or New York bagels; you meet to talk politics, but more on the Democratic side; you listen to concerts by small local indie bands; and you experience your strangeness surrounded by people who don't fit in with the Amarillo norm. A refreshing address in the carnivorous Republican ocean that is the Panhandle Plains. In particular, try the pita prepared on site, which is simply delicious with hummus.
