CADILLAC RANCH
Perfect illustration of the car culture in the United States, designed at the request of a Texas billionaire in Amarillo.
Designed in 1974 at the request of a Texas billionaire, Stanley Marsh III, the site was designed by three artists belonging to the Ant Farm collective: Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels. The work reflects the evolution of the brand's models between 1949 and 1963. The ten vehicles have their noses planted in the ground at the same angle as the Egyptian pyramids. The bodies, which were once regularly repainted, are now the delight of children and adults who come to tag them and mark their passage.
