BUDDY HOLLY STATUE
Statue of a height of nearly 2.50 m which imposes as much by its style as by its dimensions in Lubbock.
Buddy Holly was one of the best-known rock'n'roll singers of the 1950s. Standing at almost 2.50 m tall, the statue is as imposing in style as it is in size. Guitar in hand, Buddy Holly plays with visitors, eager to stop for a photo with him. Sculpted by Grant Speed in 1980, the Buddy Holly statue is surrounded by a walk of fame, honoring other Texas musicians such as Waylon Jennings and Mac Davis. You can also visit his birthplace, at 1911 6th Street, indicated by a "Buddy Holly Historical Marker".
