On the scenic road that rises above El Paso, there's a parking lot and a green space on the mountainside, where you can sit back and watch the sun set. In the distance, straight ahead of us, lies Ciudad Juarez, stretching for miles and whose border with El Paso is hard to make out. Only at nightfall is it revealed by a horizontal orange line, the color of the lights on the border wall. It's a popular spot with locals, who come with their families to picnic and enjoy the view.
