Ballroom Marfa is one of the best galleries in town. This contemporary art and performance space is housed in a former 1920s dancehall, and is free and open to the public. They commission new work, collaborate across disciplines and produce exhibitions, performances, screenings, concerts, symposia, educational programs and publications. They are notably responsible for the famous installation of a Prada boutique on the side of the highway in the middle of the desert. Also worth a visit.
