Cottonwood Campground, located in a sort of desert oasis near the Castolon Center, offering sites
Surrounded by desert plains, Cottonwood Campground is a quiet oasis in the western end of Big Bend National Park. Conveniently located between historic Castolon, Santa Elena Canyon and the end of the Ross Maxwell Scenic Byway, this small 22-site campground is one of the least known and quietest in the park. There is a group campsite and 21 individual sites. There are toilets, drinking water, and grills for cooking. Wood fires are not permitted.
