Balanced Rock is a set of balanced rocks to be discovered on a hike north of Big Bend National Park.
To reach the Balanced Rock site, drive along a rough road to the start of the Grapevine Hills Trail. This is an easy hike to the north of the park, over rolling hills to the balanced rock formation known as Balanced Rock. You'll have a spectacular view of the surrounding desert flora and fauna. A little further on, there are two authorized wilderness camping sites (for which a permit is required). Alternatively, there are three other sites on the Grapevine Hills Road.
