PASSERELLE DES DEUX RIVES
A 387- and 275-meter-long footbridge in Kehl for pedestrians and cyclists crossing the Rhine.
The Passerelle des Deux Rives is a pedestrian and cycle bridge spanning the Rhine. A symbol of Franco-German friendship, it was designed by Parisian architect Marc Mimram between the cities of Strasbourg and Kehl. The structure is distinguished by its double footbridge, one 387 metres long and the other 275 metres, more curved and linked 12 metres above the Rhine. One is reserved for pedestrians, the other for cyclists. This footbridge is the centerpiece of the Jardin des Deux Rives, a cross-border public park.
