Hotel with friendly service, featuring well-decorated, comfortable and well-kept rooms.

La Tentiaire is a small, simple hotel with around 20 rooms located in the former prison district of Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, right next to the church. The rooms are soberly decorated, air-conditioned, spacious, comfortable and well-maintained (for a few extra euros, we recommend the superior room, which is larger and more secluded, or the room with terrace). The hearty breakfast includes local fruit. Friendly, smiling service. Wifi and swimming pool available to guests.

Pour quelques nuits, la chambre est correcte, le bar et la piscine c'est agréable en fin de journée, le personnel est aimable. Confortable, nous sommes à Saint Laurent du Maroni pas à Paris

If luxury is not sought, Tentiaire is a decent hotel, very well located in the city centre and at reasonable prices. The rooms are without decor but they are clean; air conditioning and wifi function. Note, however: the fixtures in the bathroom could do with a little revision.
The swimming pool (part came out of the water of the liner to be cleaned), breakfast is good, and there is a bar.

This small human scale hotel located in the cente city is the accommodation in St Laurent. The welcome is very friendly, and the night watchman will repair few cigs you when all the shops are closed on sundays.
As for the rooms, they decent and improved continuously from change of management.

Indeed, the hotel changed management at the beginning of 2011 and the welcome clearly improved - to have known both directions, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms are a little worn and a little old furniture but renovations had begun when I went (March 2012) to see later. To have done everything the hotel La Tentiaire remains the best option at great-value rates and a very pleasant setting.
