2-kilometre trails with information panels on the history of World War II fortifications
Created in 2000 by the municipality of Bettlach, this trail connects three of the seven forts of the Maginot Line. A circuit of about 2 km is marked out with explanatory panels telling the history of these fortifications from the Second World War. The commune has renovated and secured the buildings which had defensive cannons. Left free for the visit, it is advisable to bring a lamp to explore them and to be very careful. This walk is also an opportunity to discover the foothills of the Alsatian Jura. The view from the south casemate is to be fallen!
