Church built at the beginning of the 16th century, in honour of Saint John the Baptist. It is one of the two emblematic monuments of Vila do Conde. The richly decorated building has elements of Baroque, Manueline (rare in the country) and Neo-Gothic styles. The bell tower was added in 1573. It was the largest parish of its time. It was endowed with its organ (donated by Commander Bento d'Aguiar) in 1908. It is still used for religious ceremonies today. This building will not go unnoticed during your visit to Vila do Conde.
