MACLAREN ART CENTRE
Art center with a permanent collection of over 4,300 contemporary Canadian works devoted to visual culture.
One of the most prominent art venues in the country, with a permanent collection of over 4,300 works. Although the art center has been in existence since the late 1980s, it was not until 2001 that it moved into its current location, designed by Siamak Hariri of Hariri Pontarini Architects. The permanent collection is dedicated to visual culture in all its forms in Canada with an emphasis on contemporary art, without forgetting the works of Aboriginal artists who also have a place. Café and boutique on site.
