In the 13th century, this chapel was a place of pilgrimage where the faithful came to ask the saints for cures, or even the resurrection of dead children while they were being baptized. Legend has it that Saint Erige's horse, pursued by brigands, jumped across the Tinée and landed on the site of the chapel. Today, the chapel features magnificent wall paintings.
