Old Bushmills is the birthplace of Irish single malt whiskey, enjoyed by whiskey connoisseurs around the world, and the oldest official distillery in the world (1608). The guided tour includes a walk through the premises following the stages of production: brewing, fermentation, distillation, aging, blending, bottling. It ends with a tasting. At the end of the tour, there is a bar/café for lunch (or to continue the tasting of all kinds of Bushmills whiskeys...), as well as a well-stocked souvenir store.

Très sympa
Nous avons visité la distillerie un vendredi après-midi à 15 heures. La visite est très intéressante et les explications du guide sont très compréhensibles bien que la visite se fasse exclusivement en anglais.

Nous n'avons pu résister, mais un samedi, de visiter cette distillerie bien que nous ne soyons pas connaisseurs de whisky. C'est un peu "l'usine" car les visites se succèdent à grande vitesse. Néanmoins notre guide était très dynamique et donnait même des explications en plus en français.
Le prix d'entrée est un peu élevé même si nous avons une dégustation à la sortie.
Visite certainement plus intéressante en semaine car les employés travaillent dans les ateliers.
