This 11 km long sandy beach, topped by a small temple perched on top of a cliff, was designed to host an anthology scene. Downhill Beach is none other than Peyredragon Beach (Dragonstone, the former headquarters of the Targaryen, given after Robert's victory to Stannis Barathéon). It is here that in season 2, episode 1, the red priestess Melisander asks Stannis Baratheon to burn the idols of the Seven Gods of Westeros, in order to embrace the cult of the Master of Light.
